New Family Facilities for The Marlowes
期待已久的倒计时推出更新的family facilities at The Marlowes is over with the new state-of-the-art facilities opening in September, much to the delight of the local community.
The development works included the enlargement of the downstairs toilets which feature improved family facilities including all the equipment needed to look after younger children and babies, alongside a child’s play, family area and improved accessible facilities.
The new and improved facilities are already having a dramatic effect on the centre, with footfall for the centre up 3.7% since opening.

Better facilities for everyone
The brand new family area and toilets make it significantly easier for those with children to manage their time and needs when visiting The Marlowes. A new play area for children was created along with larger changing areas, training toilets and a safe, private place for mothers to breastfeed. A fresh and exciting design was introduced which ties into the area’s surrounding woodland.

Amenities upgrade

Bright and spacious, the area now boasts a character that allows guests to relax and take a break in peaceful surroundings. Encapsulated by the modern feel and positive light colours, the facility has been received very well by guests. Paige McKenzie said, 'I love this new facility. Clean, tidy and everything you could want in one place. It's light, airy and modern and the general feel of the place puts you in a good mood as soon as you enter.'

Family Room
The family roomisdedicated to providing ease of access and offers a comfortable experience for mothers, with all the facilities needed to look after younger children and babies. With dedicated private feeding areas and a separate play area for younger children, parents no longer need to worry about finding a distraction for their other kids. Also available is a prep/kitchen area, height adjustable facilities and plenty of comfortable seating to simply take a moment to relax. There has been plenty of praise from guests, Rachel Keizer said, 'Wow absolutely love it, and was able to breastfeed comfortably. I think all shopping centres should have a family facility like this one.'
We were incredibly excited to be able to present new guest facilities to the shoppers of Hemel, showing the start of ongoing development plans for the centre. The feedback we have received so far has been overwhelming with families and disabled guests stressing how important facilities like ours are to them and calling for more companies to follow suit. We have already started to see shopping habits change with an increased use in our facilities, driving more footfall into the centre with a positive swing in footfall of 3.7% since opening.
